1. No Body Checks
In order to promote a fun and safe environment for growing the sport, body checks
are illegal.

2. No Shot Clock
There will be no shot clock in play. Teams are expected to maintain a reasonable
pace of play.

3. Face-Off Formation
Only the two face-off players may line up at midfield. All other players must
begin behind the Goal Line Extended (GLE) until possession is gained.

4. Restart After Goals
After a goal is scored, the goalie (or a teammate) will immediately possess the ball
to initiate the clear. There is no face-off after goals.

5. Over and Back Rule
Once the offensive team has gained possession in the Offensive Zone, the ball may
not cross back into the Defensive Zone due to their own actions.
Exceptions include:
🎄 A shot that bounces back to the Defensive Zone.
🎄 A loose ball last touched by the defensive team.
🎄 A loose ball leaving the zone where the defensive team commits a loose
ball hold.

6. Timeouts
Each team is permitted one (1) 30-second timeout per game. Unused timeouts do
not carry over to overtime.

7. Out of Bounds on Shots
When a shot goes out of bounds, possession is awarded to the team that did not
last touch the ball, regardless of player positioning (i.e., no "closest to the ball"
rule).

8. Rain/Weather
One half of the game constitutes a complete game. Any stoppage before half with
result in no-contest.9. Offsides/Goalie Past midfield
Goalies may cross midfield and no players are required to say behind. There is no
offsides.

10.Un-rostered Players/Guest Players
🎄 Any team can borrow a goalie without having to forfeit. If a hector is used. The
team can only have 5 field players on the field.
🎄 All guest players/fill in players must be of the appropriate age level. (eg. 8U
player can play in 10U but 10U player cannot play in 8U).
🎄 Teams may borrow up to 2 players without having to forfeit.
🎄 Any and all exceptions to any of the above rules must be agreed upon by
coaches from both teams and witnessed by Beltway Staff
